What people          said about us

“ESTIME's virtual workshops are high quality and well suited to the needs of schools. Thanks to our collaboration with ESTIME, teaching staff are becoming increasingly enthusiastic about integrating programming into the classroom in our school board!”
Julien Beauséjour
Conseiller pédagogique à l’intégration du numérique, CSSdesSamares
“From the very beginning of the ESTIME program workshops at my school, there was a rapid surge of enthusiasm, and several other teachers have expressed interest in joining the program.”
Denis Labelle
Directeur-adjoint, école Cardinal Léger, St-Laurent
“Programming is in EVERYTHING that children use today. So it's fascinating to see my students discovering what goes on behind the scenes. They understand the principles of programming on their own, and they're so proud of themselves! Your workshops are great, which is why I've been signing up for them for three years.”
Sonia
Enseignante de 6e année, Farnham
“You allow me to make connections between my work as an elementary school teacher, the subjects in the curriculum, and computer programming. That's what I was missing. Well done!”
Catherine
Enseignante de 5e année, Longueuil
I am aware of the amount of time children spend in front of screens every day, both at school and at home. But I think the priority is for the adults responsible for children to understand and supervise their use of digital tools. Every day, I train teachers in this area. Offering them the opportunity to be supported by eSTIMe is a step in that direction. eSTIMe offers a ten-hour annual course, and it works—children learn to program."
Ann Dontigny
RÉCIT au centre de services scolaire du Cœur-des-Vallées
“The students in my immersion class start off on exactly the same footing as the others; they have the same opportunities. Thank you for introducing me to the richness of computer programming.”
Maria
Enseignante d'accueil 3e cycle, St-Laurent

Why lear to program in elementary school?

“Computer code is the pencil of the 21st century; every child should know that this language exists.”

Mitchel Resnick, Lab du Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

“Research shows that interest in STEM subjects declines as students get older, starting in fifth grade.”

Potvin, P., & Hasni, A.,2013

“In addition to reading, writing, and arithmetic, we should add computational thinking to every child’s analytical skills.”

Wing, 2022

The mission and accreditation
of our organization

We can say  MISSION ACCOMPLISHED when the school’s graduates are able to program, design and produce a game or an animation

Once achieved, our organization offers to the school our accreditation, thus assuring the school community that the students of this school will learn to program throughout the school curriculum.

Generally, our accreditation is awarded to schools that provide access to programming learning for all their students and where supported by our program for an average of three years
